Outreach vs Salesloft (2026): which sales engagement platform fits your team?

Pick Outreach if you want a sales engagement platform with published plan tiers, AI agents and forecasting in one product, priced by seat plus AI credits; pick Salesloft if forecasting and pipeline inspection matter as much as cadences, since its December 2025 merger with Clari put Clari Forecast inside the same platform. Both are built for larger sales teams on Salesforce, and both quote prices only on request.

Disclosure: I do not use either for my own outbound. I send cold email on Instantly and run LinkedIn on HeyReach, and I build HubSpot and Salesforce for clients. This page is based on each vendor's site, help center and newsroom as of November 1, 2026.

Outreach vs Salesloft pricing compared

You will not find a list price for either tool. Outreach's pricing page shows four Amplify plans and a request-pricing form, and explains the model: you pay for each user, plus AI credits that are consumed as agents work, with extra credit packs available. It also says there are no platform fees and support is included. Salesloft's pricing page lists no plans at all and points to sales.

In practice both are annual contracts negotiated per seat, and the price depends on seat count, products bundled and term. If you are comparing them, get both quotes with the same seat count and the same modules (engagement only, or engagement plus conversation intelligence plus forecasting), because Salesloft's forecasting now comes from Clari and Outreach's sits in its top Pro plan.

  • Outreach Amplify Essentials: conversation intelligence and coaching, 10,000 AI credits.
  • Outreach Amplify Core: adds multi-channel sequences and engagement reporting, 25,000 AI credits, 250,000 API calls.
  • Outreach Amplify Plus: adds meeting prep and deal agents, Outreach MCP and Slack integration, 50,000 AI credits.
  • Outreach Amplify Pro: adds forecasting, scenario planning and territory management, 100,000 AI credits.
  • Salesloft: no tiers published; check the vendor's pricing page and ask which products (Cadence, Conversation Intelligence, Deals, Clari Forecast) are in the quote.

Features compared

Both started as sequencing tools and grew into revenue platforms. The practical difference in 2026 is packaging: Outreach sells one product in four tiers with AI credits, while Salesloft sells a lineup of products that now includes Clari's forecasting.

  • Sequencing: Outreach has multi-channel sequences from Amplify Core; Salesloft's Cadence is its long-standing engagement product.
  • Conversation intelligence: both include call recording and analysis; Outreach puts it in every plan from Essentials.
  • Forecasting: Salesloft offers Clari Forecast, Inspect and Revenue Cadences; Outreach includes AI forecast projection, rollups and scenario planning on Pro.
  • AI agents: Outreach markets research, deal, meeting prep and personalization agents with credit-based usage; Salesloft markets AI agents, signals and a unified revenue data layer.
  • CRM: both are strongest on Salesforce. For HubSpot, Salesloft runs its own CRM Sync, while Outreach's FAQ says the HubSpot integration is managed by HubSpot and syncs emails one way.
  • Admin: Outreach publishes limits per plan (API calls, custom objects); Salesloft does not publish plan limits.
  • Ownership: Salesloft is now the combined Clari and Salesloft company led by Steve Cox; Outreach remains independent.

Who should pick Outreach

  • You want clear plan tiers and published limits before you talk to sales.
  • You want engagement, conversation intelligence and forecasting from one vendor in one product.
  • AI agents for research, meeting prep and follow-ups are a priority.
  • You run Salesforce or Dynamics and want deep CRM sync.

Who should pick Salesloft

  • Forecast accuracy and pipeline inspection matter as much as cadences.
  • You already use Clari, or liked it, and want it in the same platform as engagement.
  • You run HubSpot and want the vendor itself to own the CRM sync.
  • Your reps want a prioritized daily task list (Rhythm).

The verdict

If you are a mid-market or enterprise team on Salesforce, both are credible and the decision comes down to forecasting and price. Teams that care most about forecasting should look hard at Salesloft now that Clari Forecast is part of it; teams that want one product with clear tiers and AI agents should look at Outreach.

If you are a startup or a small team, you probably do not need either. HubSpot Sales Hub includes sequences from Starter, and dedicated cold email tools cost far less per month. I run my own outbound on Instantly for email and HeyReach for LinkedIn, and that same setup took Coastal Recruiting's accepted candidate intros from 72 to 340 a month (4.7x) between April and August 2026.

Whichever you pick, get quotes with matching seat counts and modules, and ask how CRM sync works for your specific CRM before you sign.
