Cursor for marketing (2026): the agentic tools we use, and the ones built for marketers

"Cursor for marketing" is shorthand for an AI tool where a marketer describes the outcome and an agent does the work: writes the page, builds the landing page, pulls the data, wires the automation. Cursor did this for engineers by putting an agent inside the code editor. Marketers now get the same pattern two ways. They can use the engineering tools directly, or buy a marketing product that wraps an agent around brand voice and channels.

We build most of OneGTM's marketing and GTM tooling in Claude Code and Cursor, including this site, so those come first. After them are the agentic marketing workspaces, the AI app builders marketers use for landing pages and calculators, and the automation tools that run agents on a schedule. Prices are what each vendor publishes. Some links are referral links that may earn us a credit, which never changes what you pay or who is listed. For how we use Claude Code on GTM work specifically, see Claude Code for GTM.

Key takeaways

  • Claude Code and Cursor are the closest thing to Cursor for marketing today. They need a repo and some patience, and they can build anything.
  • Marketing agent workspaces (Jasper, Copy.ai, AirOps, Averi) trade that range for brand voice controls and templates a non-technical team can run.
  • Lovable, v0 and Replit turn a prompt into a working landing page or tool for $20 to $30 a month.
  • n8n and Zapier run agents on a schedule, which is where most of the time savings come from.
  • The tool matters less than the context you give it: brand voice, ICP, product facts and past winners.

What OneGTM uses

This site, its listicle pages, the build and SEO checks, and our client outbound pipelines are all written in Claude Code and Cursor. Notion holds the procedures and context files the agents read. None of these are sold as marketing tools, which is why they are so useful: nothing limits you to a template.

Claude Code

OneGTM uses this

Anthropic's agentic coding tool for the terminal, IDE and desktop. Point it at a folder of brand docs, data and scripts and it writes pages, runs enrichment, edits copy across a whole site and ships the change. We use it for nearly every marketing and GTM build.

Best for: Marketers and GTM engineers who want one agent that can build anything

Pricing: Included in all paid Claude plans: Pro $20/month ($17/month billed annually), Max from $100/month, Team $25/seat/month ($20 billed annually) or Premium seats at $125 ($100 billed annually).

Cursor

OneGTM uses this

The AI code editor that started the "Cursor for X" pitch. An agent edits files across a project from a chat prompt, which works as well for a landing page, a pricing table or a CSV cleanup script as it does for app code. Cloud agents and automations run tasks in the background.

Best for: Editing a website or marketing repo with an agent in the editor

Pricing: Free; Plus $8/month; Premium $30/month (adds cloud agents and automations); Super $100/month; Ultra $200/month; Teams from $30/user/month; Enterprise custom. Sold through the X Subscription. Third-party models are billed separately at API list price.

Notion

OneGTM uses this

Docs and databases with Notion Agent built in on Business. We keep runbooks, brand rules and campaign briefs here, and Custom Agents can work on them directly. It is the easiest place for a marketing team to start giving agents real context.

Best for: Keeping the brand and process context agents need

Pricing: Free; Plus $10/member/month; Business $20/member/month with Notion Agent and AI Meeting Notes; Enterprise custom. Up to 20% off yearly. Custom Agents use Notion credits at $10 per 1,000.

Agentic marketing workspaces

These are the products that pitch themselves closest to Cursor for marketing. Each wraps agents around a brand voice layer, content pipelines and channel integrations, so a team without engineers can run them. You give up the ability to build arbitrary things.

Jasper

Pitches itself as a place to put AI agents to work for marketing. Agents run whole content workflows, with Jasper IQ holding brand voice, style and product knowledge so output stays on brand.

Best for: Enterprise content teams that need brand controls

Pricing: Pro $59/seat/month billed annually ($69 monthly), 7-day free trial; Business custom.

Copy.ai

GTM AI platform with chat for individuals and workflow plans for teams that automate prospecting, content and enablement at volume.

Best for: Teams that want GTM workflows run at volume

Pricing: Chat $24/month billed annually ($29 monthly); Growth $1,000/month, Expansion $2,000/month and Scale $3,000/month, billed annually; Enterprise custom.

AirOps

Content platform built around winning AI search and Google. Agents research, publish and refresh content with brand governance on top, and a workflow builder covers custom jobs.

Best for: SEO and AEO content teams publishing at scale

Pricing: Solo and Pro plans start free; paid prices are not published. Tasks over the allotment cost $0.025 each. 14-day trial; Enterprise custom.

Averi

Content engine for startups that covers strategy, drafting, publishing and analytics in one workspace, with human review built in instead of fully autonomous agents.

Best for: Startups running content with one or two marketers

Pricing: Solo $99/month; Team $199/month; 14-day free trial on all plans. Agency plan by call.

Tofu

Agentic demand gen platform that builds personalized campaigns (outbound, nurture, event follow-up, re-engagement) inside your existing CRM and marketing automation.

Best for: ABM and demand gen teams on Marketo or HubSpot

Pricing: Pricing is not published; book a demo.

Hightouch

Agentic marketing platform on top of your data warehouse, with Ad Studio, Lifecycle Studio and AI Decisioning that picks the message, channel and timing per customer.

Best for: Lifecycle and paid teams with a data warehouse

Pricing: Basic Reverse ETL free (2 active syncs). Agentic Marketing Platform and Composable CDP are usage-based; pricing by demo.

AI app builders for landing pages and tools

Prompt in, working site out. Marketers use these for landing pages, ROI calculators, quizzes and microsites that used to wait weeks for an engineer. Check that you can export the code or connect a custom domain before you build anything you plan to keep.

Lovable

Builds full web apps and sites from a chat prompt, with hosting, custom domains and design systems on paid plans. Priced per workspace, with unlimited users.

Best for: Landing pages and lead magnets shipped by a marketer

Pricing: Free; Pro $25/month with 100 monthly credits; Business $50/month with SSO and team workspace; Enterprise custom. Yearly billing gives 2 months free.

v0

Vercel's AI builder for sites and apps, with a visual Design Mode, GitHub sync and one-click deploys to Vercel.

Best for: Teams already deploying on Vercel

Pricing: Free (7 messages a day); Plus $30/user/month with $30 of credits; Business $100/user/month; Enterprise custom.

Replit

Browser-based agent that builds and hosts apps, with plan mode and parallel agents on higher tiers. Good for internal tools and small data apps a marketer can share by link.

Best for: Internal tools and small apps with a backend

Pricing: Core $20/month ($18 billed annually); Pro $100/month ($90 billed annually); Enterprise custom.

Automation tools that run agents on a schedule

An agent you have to prompt by hand saves an afternoon. One that runs every morning on new signups, new competitor posts or new search rankings saves a headcount. These run the jobs.

n8n

Workflow automation with AI agent nodes and code steps, available in the cloud or self-hosted for free from GitHub. Priced by workflow execution, so long multi-step agent runs cost the same as short ones.

Best for: Technical marketers who want agents with full control

Pricing: Starter EUR 20/month, Pro EUR 50/month, Business EUR 667/month (self-hosted), all billed annually; Enterprise custom. Community edition free to self-host.

Zapier

The default no-code automation tool, with thousands of app integrations and Zapier Agents as a separate add-on for AI tasks.

Best for: Non-technical teams connecting SaaS tools

Pricing: Free with 100 tasks a month; Professional from $19.99/month billed annually ($29.99 monthly); Team from $69/month billed annually. Agents free for 400 activities a month, Pro from about $33.33/month billed annually.

Prices are from each vendor's site as of October 2026 and change often, so check before you buy. This is an opinionated list, not a paid ranking. Some links are referral links that may earn us a credit; that never changes what you pay or who makes the list.

How to choose

Start with who will run it. If someone on the team is willing to work in a terminal or a code editor, Claude Code or Cursor will outbuild every marketing product on this list, because nothing restricts them to templates. If the team is three content marketers and a manager, a workspace like Jasper or Averi is the safer bet. It will be on brand on day one and nobody has to learn git.

Then decide what you are making. Content at volume points to Jasper, AirOps or Copy.ai. Pages and tools point to Lovable, v0 or Replit. Recurring jobs (weekly reports, lead routing, competitor monitoring) point to n8n or Zapier, often with Claude doing the thinking inside the workflow.

  • Can it read your own context: brand docs, ICP, product facts, past winning copy?
  • Can you get the output out: code export, CMS publish, CRM sync?
  • Does pricing scale with seats, credits or executions, and which one will you burn first?
  • Can it run on a schedule without someone pressing a button?

Using Claude Code and Cursor as a marketer

The setup that works for us is a single repo per project. It holds a CLAUDE.md file with the rules (voice, banned words, facts and where they come from), a folder of source documents, and scripts that check the output before it ships. This site has a check that fails the build if a page has an em dash or a missing meta description. The agent reads the rules every time, so you stop repeating yourself.

Good first projects: rewrite every meta description on your site against a length rule, build a comparison page from a JSON file, turn a webinar transcript into a blog post and five LinkedIn posts, or pull a list of companies hiring for a role and score it against your ICP. More examples are on our Claude Code for GTM page.

  • Write the rules down once in a CLAUDE.md or project instructions file.
  • Keep facts in one place and have the agent cite them, so it does not invent numbers.
  • Add a check script and make the agent run it before every commit.
  • Use git so every change can be reviewed and rolled back.

Where agentic marketing goes wrong

The common failure is volume without judgment. An agent can produce 200 blog posts in a day, and search engines and AI answer engines are already discounting thin, repetitive pages. Publish fewer pages that answer a real question better than what ranks today.

The second is missing context. An agent with no ICP, no product facts and no voice guide writes generic copy that sounds like every other AI page. The third is no review step. Someone has to read what ships, at least until the checks are good enough to catch the usual mistakes.

  • Invented statistics and customer results. Keep a facts file and ban anything not in it.
  • Brand drift across agents and tools. Point every tool at the same voice guide.
  • Credit burn on retries. Set spending caps on usage-billed tools.
  • Pages nobody owns. Assign an owner for every page an agent publishes.

When to get help

Getting a marketer productive in Claude Code or Cursor takes a few days of setup: the repo, the rules file, the facts, the check scripts, and the first two or three workflows. After that the team runs it themselves.

OneGTM builds that setup for GTM teams, along with the scheduled agents that feed outbound, content and reporting. You own the repo and everything in it.

  • You want marketers building pages and tools without waiting on engineering.
  • Your AI content sounds generic and nobody can say why.
  • You are paying for three AI writing tools and none of them talk to your CRM.
  • You want agents running on a schedule, not only when someone remembers.

Cursor for marketing FAQ

What is Cursor for marketing?
Cursor for marketing means an AI tool where a marketer describes the result and an agent does the work, the way Cursor's agent edits code for engineers. In practice that is either Claude Code or Cursor used directly on marketing work, or a marketing product built around agents such as Jasper, AirOps, Copy.ai or Averi.
Can marketers use Cursor without knowing how to code?
Yes, for scoped jobs. Marketers use Cursor to edit website copy, build landing pages and clean up spreadsheets by describing the change in chat. You still need to be comfortable opening a project folder and reviewing changes, so a short setup session with someone technical helps a lot.
Is Claude Code good for marketing?
Claude Code is one of the most capable marketing tools available, because it can write copy, build pages, run data scripts and publish changes from one prompt. OneGTM builds its website and GTM tooling in it. The trade-off is that it works in a terminal or IDE, so it suits marketers willing to work with files and git.
What is the best AI agent for marketing teams?
For technical marketers, Claude Code or Cursor. For content teams that need brand controls, Jasper or AirOps. For startups with one marketer, Averi. For landing pages, Lovable or v0. For scheduled jobs, n8n or Zapier. Most teams end up using one builder tool and one automation tool together.
Claude Code or Cursor for marketing: which should I use?
Use Claude Code if you want the agent to run whole jobs end to end from a terminal, including scripts and data work. Use Cursor if you prefer an editor where you watch and accept each change. Many people, including us, use both on the same project.
How much do Cursor for marketing tools cost?
Claude Code comes with Claude Pro at $20 a month, and Cursor's Premium plan with cloud agents is $30 a month. Lovable starts at $25 a month and v0 Plus at $30 per user. Marketing workspaces run higher: Jasper Pro is $59 per seat a month billed annually, Averi starts at $99 a month, and Copy.ai's workflow plans start at $1,000 a month.
Will AI agents replace marketers?
No. Agents replace the production work: drafting, formatting, building pages, pulling reports. Someone still has to decide what to say, to whom, and whether the output is good enough to ship. Teams that set up agents well tend to need fewer people on production and more time on positioning and testing.
