Instantly alternatives (2026): what to use instead, and when to stay
Instantly alternatives fall into three camps: other volume cold email senders, multichannel sequencers that add LinkedIn and calls, and sales engagement platforms built for reps. Which one fits depends on the job Instantly is failing at for you.
Disclosure first: OneGTM sends client campaigns through Instantly, and our link to it is a referral link. We still list the alternatives, because Instantly is the wrong pick for some teams. Below is when we would move off it, then the tools worth looking at, with what each vendor publishes about price. If you want the full category, see cold email software.
Key takeaways
- We send with Instantly. It is a good default for one operator running many mailboxes, and we disclose that up front.
- For agencies with many client workspaces, Smartlead is the closest swap. For very high volume on dedicated infrastructure, EmailBison.
- If you need LinkedIn steps in the same sequence, look at lemlist or Reply.io.
- If reps work their own book from the CRM, Outreach, Salesloft, or HubSpot Sequences fit better than any volume sender.
- Switching senders rarely fixes reply rates. Check the list and the domains before you migrate.
What OneGTM sends with
We run client campaigns in Instantly on ScaledMail inboxes and push leads in through its API from Deepline and Claude Code. It does the job for one operator running dozens of mailboxes. We would not move a team off it without a specific reason, and the reasons are below.
Instantly
OneGTM uses this
Cold email platform with unlimited connected mailboxes and warmup on every plan, a shared inbox for replies, and an API. It also sells a 450M+ B2B lead database on a separate credits plan.
Best for: One operator sending from many mailboxes
Pricing: Outreach plans: Growth $47/month (5,000 emails, 1,000 uploaded contacts); Hypergrowth $97/month; Light Speed $358/month; Enterprise custom. About 20% less billed annually. Lead database credits from $47/month.
Volume cold email senders
These do the same job as Instantly: send first-touch email across many mailboxes on secondary domains. Pick one of these if your problem is pricing, workspace setup, or volume, and you do not need other channels.
Smartlead
Cold email platform with unlimited email accounts, mailbox rotation, warmup, and a master inbox. Agencies like it because each client gets its own workspace.
Best for: Agencies running many client workspaces
Pricing: Base $39/month (2,000 active leads, 6,000 emails); Pro $94/month; Unlimited Smart $174/month; Unlimited Prime $379/month. About 17% less billed annually. Free trial.
EmailBison
High-volume sending platform on isolated infrastructure with dedicated IPs, priced on email volume with no per-seat fees.
Best for: Agencies sending hundreds of thousands of emails a month
Pricing: Base plan $599/month for 500,000 emails; extra volume sold in monthly buckets.
PlusVibe
Cold email sender with warmup, enrichment credits bundled into each plan, and add-ons for inbox setup and placement tests.
Best for: Teams that want enrichment credits in the sending plan
Pricing: 14-day free trial with 1,000 emails. Personal from $37/month (25,000 emails); Business from $77/month (150,000 emails); Agency from $497/month. Lower billed yearly.
Saleshandy
Budget cold email platform with unlimited email accounts, sender rotation, and a unified inbox.
Best for: Small budgets that still need rotation
Pricing: Starter $41/month or $34/month billed annually (2,000 active prospects, 6,000 emails); Pro $99/month; Scale $189/month. 7-day free trial.
Woodpecker
Cold email sequencer with unlimited email accounts, built-in warmup, and mailboxes and domains you can buy inside the app.
Best for: Paying by prospects contacted instead of seats
Pricing: Priced by contacted prospects with a calculator on its site; annual billing saves 33%. 14-day free trial, no card.
QuickMail
Sequencer with unlimited email senders and LinkedIn accounts on every plan, priced on contacts and emails sent.
Best for: Small teams that want predictable contact-based pricing
Pricing: Starter $49/month (1,000 contacts, 5,000 emails); Growth $99/month; Agency $299/month. 14-day free trial.
Multichannel sequencers
Instantly is email first. If your sequences need LinkedIn steps, calls, or a contact database in the same tool, these are the closer fit. You can also keep Instantly and add a dedicated tool from our LinkedIn automation tools list.
lemlist
Sequencer with image and landing page personalization, plus a Multichannel plan that adds LinkedIn steps, calls, and SMS to the same sequence.
Best for: Email plus LinkedIn in one sequence
Pricing: Email $69/month or $55/month billed yearly; Multichannel $109/month or $87/month billed yearly. 14-day free trial.
Reply.io
Sales engagement tool with email, LinkedIn, calls, and SMS steps, plus an AI SDR product called Jason.
Best for: Small teams that want every channel in one seat
Pricing: Email Volume from $49/user/month billed annually (1,000 active contacts); Multichannel from $89/user/month billed annually; LinkedIn add-on $69/month per account. 14-day trial.
Apollo
Contact database, enrichment, and sequencer in one seat. Easy to start, though it sends from your own inboxes with fewer volume controls than a dedicated sender.
Best for: Founders who want data and sending in one tool
Pricing: Free plan; paid plans from $49 per user per month billed annually; Custom plan through sales.
Sales engagement platforms
These are built for reps working accounts they own, with tasks, a dialer, and CRM sync. They are expensive for net-new volume outbound and good once a rep takes over a reply.
Outreach
Enterprise sales execution platform with sequences, deal management, forecasting, and AI agents.
Best for: Enterprise sales teams with managers and forecasting
Pricing: Custom pricing.
Salesloft
Sales engagement platform with cadences, deal management, and a daily rep workflow called Rhythm, sold alongside Clari forecasting.
Best for: Rep-led outbound on owned accounts
Pricing: Custom pricing.
HubSpot Sequences
Sequences inside HubSpot Sales Hub, sending from each rep's connected inbox with every touch logged to the CRM.
Best for: Teams that live in HubSpot
Pricing: Included in Sales Hub Professional, from $100/seat/month.
Prices are from each vendor's site as of October 2026 and change often, so check before you buy. This is an opinionated list, not a paid ranking. Some links are referral links that may earn us a credit; that never changes what you pay or who makes the list.

Why teams look for Instantly alternatives
Most switches come from one of a few specific problems. Name yours before you shop, because each one points to a different tool.
- Agency workspaces. Running ten clients in one account gets messy. Smartlead's client workspaces are the common fix.
- Volume and cost at the top end. Past a few hundred thousand emails a month, EmailBison's volume pricing on dedicated infrastructure can come out ahead.
- Other channels. Instantly is email first. lemlist and Reply.io put LinkedIn steps and calls in the same sequence.
- Rep workflow. If reps own accounts and need tasks, a dialer, and CRM sync, an engagement platform like Outreach or HubSpot fits better.
- Deliverability. Teams often blame the sender when the real cause is domains, mailbox volume, or a bad list. Read the section below before you move.
How to choose an Instantly alternative
Start from monthly send volume and how many people will touch the tool. Then check the things that hurt six months in.
- Pricing model: per contact, per email, or per seat. Per-seat pricing punishes one operator running many mailboxes.
- Workspace separation if you run campaigns for several brands or clients.
- Reply handling: a unified inbox, reply tagging, and a clean push to your CRM.
- API and webhooks if leads come in from Clay, Deepline, or your own scripts.
- Whether you need the vendor's lead database or already have a data layer. See data enrichment tools.
How to move off Instantly without losing deliverability
Your mailboxes and domains are yours, so you can connect the same inboxes to a new sender. The risk is a volume spike or a gap in warmup during the move.
- Export leads, campaign status, and your blocklist first, so nobody gets emailed twice.
- Keep warmup running in the new tool for a week before you send campaigns from it.
- Move a few mailboxes at a time and hold daily volume per mailbox where it was.
- Rebuild reply routing and CRM sync before launch, or replies land nowhere.
- Run an inbox placement test on the new setup. Our cold email infrastructure page covers domains and mailboxes.
When to get help with your sending setup
Swapping one sender for another takes a day. Finding out why replies dropped takes longer, and the cause is usually upstream of the sender.
OneGTM builds the full system in your own accounts: lists and verification, domains and mailboxes, sequences, and reply routing into your CRM. If the right answer is to stay on Instantly, we will say so.
- Reply rates fell and you are not sure if the tool is the cause.
- You run campaigns for several clients or brands and the account is a mess.
- You want LinkedIn and email working from the same lead list.
- You are weighing Instantly against Smartlead or EmailBison and want a second opinion.
