Best LinkedIn automation tools (2026): what we use, and how to keep accounts safe
LinkedIn automation tools send connection requests, follow-up messages, and InMails on a schedule, so you can run a LinkedIn sequence the way you run an email one. They also break LinkedIn's User Agreement, which bans bots and automated messaging. Every tool on this page carries some risk of restriction, and the way you use it matters more than which one you pick.
Below is what OneGTM uses for client LinkedIn outreach, then the other tools worth knowing, with current pricing and a frank section on limits and account safety. Some links are referral links that may earn us a credit, which never changes what you pay or who is listed.
Key takeaways
- We run LinkedIn outreach through HeyReach, alongside email in Instantly, with the same lists feeding both.
- Agency and multi-sender teams should compare HeyReach, Salesflow, and Skylead. Single founders can start with Expandi, Dripify, or Waalaxy.
- LinkedIn does not publish its invitation cap. Plan on roughly 100 connection requests a week per account and stay under it.
- Cloud tools are not invisible to LinkedIn. Low volume, real profiles, and relevant messages keep accounts alive.
The LinkedIn automation tool OneGTM uses
We run LinkedIn alongside email. HeyReach sends from each client's own LinkedIn accounts, and the same verified lists feed both channels so nobody gets a LinkedIn message and a cold email that ignore each other.

LinkedIn limits and account safety
Be clear about the trade-off before you buy. Section 8.2 of LinkedIn's User Agreement bans using bots or other unauthorized automated methods to add contacts or send messages, and bans software, scripts, and browser plugins used to scrape the site. Every tool on this page automates actions LinkedIn says you should not automate. LinkedIn can warn, restrict, or ban the account, and it is the seller's own profile that takes the hit.
LinkedIn does not publish its weekly invitation limit, and it moves with account age and acceptance rate. Most accounts top out around 100 connection requests a week. Lots of pending or ignored invitations, and messages people report, get accounts restricted faster than raw volume does.
Cloud tools run your session on the vendor's servers, usually with a dedicated IP per account, and keep sending when your laptop is closed. Extensions run inside your own browser, and desktop apps run on your machine. Vendors argue over which is harder to detect. None of them is invisible, and behavior that looks like a bot gets flagged whatever runs it.
- Use real, active profiles with a complete history. Never fake accounts.
- Ramp new or quiet accounts slowly over a few weeks before running full volume.
- Stay under roughly 100 invitations a week and withdraw invitations that have sat pending for weeks.
- Run one automation tool per account. Two tools on one account doubles the activity LinkedIn sees.
- Send fewer, more relevant requests. A high acceptance rate protects the account better than any setting.
How to choose a LinkedIn automation tool
Start from how many LinkedIn accounts you will run and whether LinkedIn is its own channel or one step in a sequence with email.
- One account, LinkedIn only: Expandi, Dripify, Waalaxy, or Linked Helper.
- Many accounts or an agency: HeyReach, Salesflow, or Skylead, which price for multiple senders and share one inbox.
- LinkedIn and email in one sequence: lemlist, La Growth Machine, or Skylead. Or pair HeyReach with a sequencer from our cold email software list, which is what we do.
- Lists from post engagement: see LinkedIn engagement scrapers for tools that pull likers and commenters.
- API access, if leads come from Clay, Deepline, or your own scripts.
When it makes sense to get help with LinkedIn outreach
The tool is the easy part. Restricted accounts, generic connection notes, and LinkedIn running separately from email are what sink most programs.
OneGTM sets up LinkedIn alongside email: the lists, the account ramp, the messages, and reply routing into your CRM. Volume stays inside safe limits, and the accounts stay yours.
- You want LinkedIn and cold email running from the same list without stepping on each other.
- An account was restricted and you want a safer setup before trying again.
- You run several sender accounts and need one inbox and clean reporting.
- You want outreach triggered by signals like post engagement or job changes.
