Best intent data providers (2026): third-party intent, and how to tell if it works

Intent data providers sell third-party intent: signs that a company is researching a topic or a product category somewhere other than your own website. That covers topic surge data from publisher networks such as Bombora, review-site intent from G2 and TrustRadius, and bidstream data pulled from ad exchanges. It tells you which accounts are reading about your problem this week, usually at the company level, never the person.

This page covers third-party intent only. Event signals such as new hires, funding rounds, job posts, and champions changing jobs are on our buying signal tools page, and person-level website visitors are on website visitor identification. Below is how OneGTM approaches intent, then the providers worth knowing, with what each vendor publishes about price. Almost all of them sell through sales calls.

Key takeaways

  • Third-party intent is company level. It tells you an account is researching, not who.
  • Review-site intent (G2, TrustRadius) is the narrowest and usually the most accurate, because the buyer is comparing vendors in your category.
  • Topic surge data (Bombora and the tools built on it) has the widest reach and the most noise.
  • Nearly every provider uses custom pricing. Leadfeeder and RB2B are the exceptions with public prices.
  • OneGTM leans on event signals built in Deepline and treats third-party intent as a tiebreaker, not a trigger.

How OneGTM handles intent

We rarely buy a topic intent feed on its own. We build signals in Deepline from data we can check, such as hiring, tech changes, and engagement, and have used RB2B on client sites to see which accounts and people visit high-intent pages. Third-party intent goes on top as a score, so an account with both an event signal and a topic surge moves up the list.

Deepline

OneGTM uses this

GTM data platform that runs enrichment waterfalls and scheduled plays across dozens of providers. OneGTM uses it to build custom signals and to score accounts that third-party intent flags.

Best for: Building your own signals and checking intent against real events

Pricing: Pay as you go at $0.10 per credit with no platform fee.

RB2B

OneGTM has used this

Identifies US website visitors at the person level and posts them to Slack. Hot Pages flags visits to high-intent pages such as pricing, and Hot Leads filters by ICP. First-party intent, so it pairs well with a third-party feed.

Best for: Seeing who is on your pricing page this week

Pricing: Free with 150 resolutions a month. Starter $79 per month. Pro from $149 and Pro+ from $199 per month, with Hot Pages on Pro and up.

Review-site intent

Buyers on review sites are comparing products in your category, often on your own profile or a competitor's. The reach is smaller than topic data, but the signal is much closer to a purchase.

G2 Buyer Intent

Company-level intent from buyers researching on G2, Capterra, Software Advice, and GetApp: category research, competitor comparisons, pricing page views, and profile visits. Syncs to Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, and 6sense.

Best for: Software vendors with an active G2 profile

Pricing: Custom pricing. A free 30-day lookback is offered.

TrustRadius

Buyer intent from software evaluators researching on TrustRadius, now part of HG Insights, which adds its account and technographic data to the signals.

Best for: Enterprise software vendors that also want technographic data

Pricing: Custom pricing; contact sales.

Topic surge and publisher networks

These track content consumption across large networks of B2B sites and flag accounts reading more than usual about a topic. Wide coverage, more noise, and the topics you pick decide most of the quality.

Bombora

Company Surge intent from a data co-op of B2B publishers and brands, covering 25,000+ intent topics. Other tools, including Cognism, resell it.

Best for: Teams that want the source most other topic intent is built on

Pricing: Custom pricing; speak to sales.

Cognism

Contact data provider whose Pro package includes Bombora Company Surge intent, with up to 12 topics chosen from a library of 11,000+.

Best for: Teams that want contact data and Bombora intent in one contract

Pricing: Custom pricing. Intent is included on Pro only.

Intentsify

Intent data built from monitoring hundreds of thousands of B2B content sites, with buying group intent and activation through ads, email, and lead generation programs.

Best for: Marketing teams that want intent plus campaign execution

Pricing: Custom pricing; book a demo.

ABM and data platforms with intent built in

These bundle third-party intent with contact data, ad targeting, and account scoring. You rarely buy the intent on its own, and you should ask each one which sources feed their model, including how much comes from bidstream.

6sense

ABM and sales intelligence platform with predictive AI that scores accounts by buying stage, plus data credits for contacts and a sales copilot.

Best for: Larger teams running account-based marketing and ads

Pricing: Custom pricing; sold through a demo.

Demandbase

ABM platform with intent, advertising, and account data for sales and marketing. Priced as a platform fee plus a per-user fee.

Best for: Enterprise ABM programs with a large ad budget

Pricing: Custom pricing: platform fee plus a flat per-user fee.

ZoomInfo

Contact and company data with buyer intent signals on Copilot Advanced and Enterprise, and custom and streaming intent topics on the marketing and ABM plans.

Best for: Teams already buying ZoomInfo contact data

Pricing: Custom pricing. Streaming Intent is priced by keywords and accounts tracked.

Leadfeeder by Dealfront

Company-level website visitor identification with intent signal filters and intent scoring. Strong European coverage.

Best for: European teams that want visitor and intent data at a public price

Pricing: Lite free. Discover from EUR 79 per month, Activate from EUR 369 per month, Scale from EUR 599 per month, all billed annually. Intent filters on Activate and up.

The three kinds of third-party intent data

Topic surge data comes from networks of B2B publishers that share consumption data. When people at an account read more than their usual amount about a topic, the account surges. Bombora runs the best known co-op, and other vendors resell its data.

Review-site intent comes from G2, TrustRadius, and similar sites. The buyer is looking at your category, your profile, or a competitor's, so the signal is narrower and closer to a purchase.

Bidstream data comes from the ad auction. When a page with an ad slot loads, the exchange passes along the URL and an IP address, and vendors map those to companies and topics. It is cheap to collect and huge in volume, and it is also the noisiest and the most exposed to privacy rules. Ask every vendor what share of their signal comes from it.

Intent data vs buying signals

Intent data says an account is researching a topic. A buying signal is an event you can check: a new VP of Sales, a funding round, a job post for the role your product supports. Both help you pick accounts, but they fail in different ways. Intent is often noisy. Events are clear but do not tell you if the account is shopping right now.

We start from events and use intent to rank. An account with a new sales leader and a surge on your category goes to the top. A surge alone rarely justifies a sequence. See buying signal tools for the event side.

How to test an intent provider before you sign

Every provider shows a demo where the surging accounts look perfect. Run your own test on accounts you already know about before committing to an annual contract.

  • Send the vendor your closed-won accounts from the last two quarters and ask what they showed before the deal opened.
  • Pick 5 to 10 topics tightly tied to your product. Broad topics flag everyone.
  • Compare surging accounts against your ICP list. If most fall outside it, the score is noise for you.
  • Run a holdout: sequence half the surging accounts, leave half alone, and compare meetings booked.
  • Ask what share of the signal comes from bidstream, and how they handle consent and GDPR.

When to get help with intent data

Buying intent data is easy. Getting it to change who your reps call is harder, because a feed of surging accounts with no context usually gets ignored after a month.

OneGTM combines third-party intent with event signals and your own CRM data, scores accounts on all of it, and routes the top of the list into outbound. You own the scoring and the data.

  • You pay for intent data but reps do not use it.
  • Surging accounts rarely turn into meetings.
  • You want to test G2 or Bombora before signing an annual contract.
  • You want intent combined with hiring, funding, and website signals in one score.

Intent data providers FAQ

What are the best intent data providers?
Bombora is the largest source of topic surge data, and G2 Buyer Intent and TrustRadius are the main review-site intent providers. 6sense, Demandbase, and ZoomInfo bundle intent into larger ABM and data platforms. Cognism includes Bombora intent on its Pro package, and Leadfeeder by Dealfront offers intent filters at a public price.
What is third-party intent data?
Third-party intent data tracks research activity that happens outside your own website, such as reading articles on publisher sites, comparing products on review sites, or ad impressions on topic pages. It is usually reported at the company level. First-party intent comes from your own site, product, and email.
How much does intent data cost?
Most intent data providers use custom pricing, including Bombora, G2, TrustRadius, 6sense, Demandbase, and ZoomInfo. Leadfeeder's intent filters start on Activate at EUR 369 per month billed annually, and RB2B's Hot Pages start on Pro at $149 per month.
What is the difference between intent data and buying signals?
Intent data shows an account researching a topic. Buying signals are events you can verify, such as hiring, funding, job changes, or tech changes. OneGTM starts from event signals built in Deepline and uses intent data to rank accounts, not to trigger outreach on its own.
Is intent data accurate?
It varies by source. Review-site intent is narrow and usually accurate, because the buyer is comparing products in your category. Topic surge data has wide coverage and more noise. Bidstream data is the noisiest. Test any provider against your own closed-won accounts before signing.
What is bidstream intent data?
Bidstream data is collected from programmatic ad auctions, where the page URL and an IP address are passed to bidders. Vendors map those to companies and topics. It is high volume and cheap to collect, but noisy and more exposed to privacy rules than co-op or review-site data.
Does intent data identify individual people?
Third-party intent is almost always company level. To see individual people, you need first-party tools such as RB2B, which identifies US website visitors at the person level, or contact data matched to the account afterward.
