Best tech stack tracking tools (2026): what we use, and which kind of technographic data fits your list
Tech stack tracking tools tell you which software a company runs, and when that changes. Sales teams use this technographic data to build lists of companies on a competitor, on a tool they integrate with, or big enough on a platform to need what they sell.
Below is what OneGTM uses, then the website scanners and the deeper technographic providers, with what each vendor publishes about price. The thing to understand before you buy: a tool that scans websites only sees what loads in the browser. Back-office software like a data warehouse or an ERP shows up in job posts and install data, not page source. Pick the source that can actually see the tools you care about.
Key takeaways
- We use LeadMagic technographics at 1 credit per company and route other lookups through Deepline.
- Website scanners (BuiltWith, Wappalyzer) see front-end tools: analytics, chat widgets, ecommerce platforms, tag managers.
- Job-post based providers (TheirStack, Sumble, PredictLeads) find back-end tools that never touch the website.
- HG Insights and 6sense sell technographics inside enterprise contracts with no public price.
- A tech change, such as adding or dropping a competitor, is a stronger signal than a static install.
What OneGTM uses for tech stack data
Tech stack is a filter and a personalization field for us, not a list source on its own. LeadMagic is our default lookup. When a client needs a back-end tool or a niche product, we test providers through Deepline first and only buy direct once we know which one has coverage.
LeadMagic
OneGTM uses this
Enrichment API with a technographics endpoint that takes a company domain and returns the detected tech stack. It charges nothing on a miss, which makes it cheap to run across a full TAM.
Best for: Cheap tech stack lookups across a large account list
Pricing: Essential $99/month for 5,000 credits; Growth $249/month for 20,000; Professional $499/month; Ultimate $849/month. Two months free billed annually. Technographics is 1 credit per company.
Deepline
OneGTM uses this
GTM data platform with one credit balance across dozens of providers, including BuiltWith and PredictLeads. We use it to compare technographic coverage on a client's real accounts before committing to any one source.
Best for: Testing several technographic sources on one list
Pricing: Pay as you go at $0.10 per credit with no platform fee.
Clay
OneGTM has used this
Spreadsheet-style enrichment tool that pulls tech stack data from several integrated providers into a table column, so you can filter and score accounts on it alongside firmographics.
Best for: Teams already building lists in Clay
Pricing: Free plan with 100 data credits a month. Launch $167/month billed annually ($185 monthly); Growth $446/month billed annually ($495 monthly). Enterprise custom.
Website technology scanners
These crawl websites and fingerprint the scripts, tags, and platforms they load. Strong on ecommerce, marketing, and analytics tools. Blind to anything that runs behind a login or inside the company.
BuiltWith
The largest website technology database, with lists of every site using a given technology, historical install and removal dates, and spend estimates.
Best for: Lists of every site on a given front-end technology
Pricing: Basic $295/month, Pro $495/month, Team $995/month. Annual plans available. API pricing not listed on the plans page.
Wappalyzer
Technology lookup tool with a browser extension, lead lists by technology, website alerts when a stack changes, and an API.
Best for: Small teams that want lookups, alerts, and an extension
Pricing: Free with 50 technology lookups a month. Pro $250/month, Business $450/month, Enterprise from $850/month. 17% off billed annually.
Technographic data from job posts, installs, and intent
These infer the stack from job descriptions, install data, and other sources, so they can see tools like Snowflake, Salesforce, or SAP that never appear in page source.
TheirStack
Job posting and technographic database that detects tools from the job descriptions companies publish, with first and last seen dates per technology.
Best for: Back-end and data tools named in job descriptions
Pricing: API from $49/month for 1,500 credits, up to $5,500/month for 5,000,000. A technographics lookup is 3 credits. App credits from $109 one-time for 1,000 companies. Free trial.
Sumble
Account intelligence built from job posts and other public data, with tech, job function, and firmographic search filters, people search, and signals.
Best for: Searching accounts by the technologies their teams use
Pricing: Free with 500 credits a month and 7 signals a week. Pro $99/month with 9,900 credits and up to 20 signals a day. Enterprise custom.
PredictLeads
Company data API covering technologies detected, job openings, news events, and key customers, priced per API call.
Best for: Developers who want tech data and other signals from one API
Pricing: Free for 100 API calls a month. Then $0.04 per credit with a $40 monthly minimum, falling to $0.002 at volume. Flat-file Enterprise access is custom.
HG Insights
Enterprise technographic provider covering installed products, IT spend, and contract data, plus buyer intent. Plans are Starter, Growth, and Enterprise, usually on two-year terms.
Best for: Enterprise sellers who need IT spend and install depth
Pricing: Custom pricing through a demo. No free trial.
6sense
ABM and sales intelligence platform. Its technographics came from the Slintel acquisition and are included in all three sales intelligence plans, next to intent and predictive scoring.
Best for: Teams buying intent, ABM, and technographics in one contract
Pricing: Custom pricing, sold through a demo.
Prices are from each vendor's site as of October 2026 and change often, so check before you buy. This is an opinionated list, not a paid ranking. Some links are referral links that may earn us a credit; that never changes what you pay or who makes the list.

Front-end scans vs back-end technographics
BuiltWith and Wappalyzer load a company's website and match what they see against known fingerprints: Shopify, HubSpot forms, Intercom, Google Tag Manager. If it runs in the browser, they are accurate and they can tell you the day it appeared.
Most B2B buying happens around tools that never load on the website: the CRM, the warehouse, the ERP, the data pipeline. For those you need a source that reads job posts (TheirStack, Sumble, PredictLeads) or install and spend data (HG Insights). A job post that asks for three years of Snowflake is good evidence the company runs Snowflake.
Before buying, list the five technologies that matter most for your ICP and check each provider's coverage on 50 accounts you already know.
Tech changes are the signal, not the install
Knowing a company runs a competitor is a targeting filter. Knowing they added or dropped it last month is a buying signal. Look for providers that record first seen and last seen dates, and set alerts on the changes.
- A competitor disappearing from the site: they may be mid-switch, or just signed with someone else.
- A complementary tool appearing: they now have the problem your product solves next.
- A new job post naming a tool they do not use yet: a migration or new team is coming. See job posting data.
- A spike in posts mentioning your category: budget is likely approved.
Using tech stack data in outbound
Use tech data first to cut the list, then to write the first line. Filtering a TAM to companies on a tool you integrate with is the cheapest win, and it saves enrichment spend on accounts that could never buy.
In the copy, name the tool only when you are sure. A wrong guess about someone's stack is worse than no personalization, and website scanners do pick up old tags that nobody removed.
- Filter the account list on must-have and must-not-have technologies before you find any contacts.
- Score accounts higher for complementary tools and recent changes.
- Write integration-led copy for accounts on a partner tool.
- Write displacement copy only where a competitor is confirmed by two sources.
When to get help with technographic targeting
Most teams buy a technographic database, filter on one tool, and stop. The value comes from checking coverage on your own accounts, mixing front-end and job-post sources, and turning stack changes into plays.
OneGTM tests technographic sources against your ICP, builds tech-based scoring into your TAM, and wires stack changes into outbound. You own the data and the workflows.
- Your ICP depends on a tool that website scanners cannot see.
- You want a list of every company running a competitor, with the date they started.
- You are paying for an enterprise technographic contract and not using it.
- You want stack changes to start a sequence automatically.
