Best email finder tools (2026): what we use, and how to pick one

An email finder takes a name and a company (or a LinkedIn URL) and returns the person's work email. Most of them guess the address pattern, check it against the mail server, and fill gaps from their own database. The difference between tools is how often they find something, how often what they find actually delivers, and what they charge when they miss.

This page covers work email finders only. If you want the wider picture (phones, firmographics, CRM enrichment), see data enrichment tools. Below is what I run for clients today, then the other finders worth knowing. Prices come from each vendor's site as of October 15, 2026. Some links are referral links that may earn us a credit, which never changes what you pay or who is listed.

Key takeaways

  • Run finders in a waterfall. Each provider misses a different slice of your list, so stacking two or three beats any single one.
  • Pay attention to how a tool bills misses. Most of the good ones only charge when they return an email.
  • Catch-all domains are where finders disagree most. Verify those separately before you send.
  • Our default is Deepline routing across providers, with LeadMagic and AI Ark among the sources underneath.

The email finders OneGTM uses

These run in client builds today. Deepline sits on top and decides which provider gets each lookup; LeadMagic and AI Ark are two of the sources it calls.

Deepline

OneGTM uses this

One API (plus Claude Code skills) that routes each email lookup across many providers with waterfall fallbacks, so a miss at one provider falls through to the next. You can use their managed provider access or plug in your own keys.

Best for: Code-first teams running waterfalls at volume

Pricing: Pay as you go at $0.10 per credit with no platform fee, or Growth at $395/month including $200 of usage. Managed email finds start around $0.014 each. Bring your own provider keys with no markup.

LeadMagic

OneGTM uses this

Email finder, validation, mobile finder, and personal email finder behind one API and web app. Empty lookups cost nothing, which makes it a good first step in a waterfall.

Best for: High-volume work email lookups by API

Pricing: Essential $99/month for 5,000 credits; Growth $249/month for 20,000; Professional $499/month; Ultimate $849/month. A found work email is 1 credit. About 16% less billed annually. No free plan.

AI Ark

OneGTM uses this

B2B people and company database with AI lookalike search and emails verified at export. Good for building a list and getting emails in the same step, with an API and MCP server.

Best for: Building lists and finding emails in one pass

Pricing: Free plan with 100 credits a month; Usage-Based $49/month for 5,000 credits. A person with a verified email is about 1 credit. 20% off billed annually.

Waterfall email finders

If you want the waterfall without wiring providers together yourself, these do it for you in a web app.

FullEnrich

Waterfall across 20+ vendors that picks sources based on where the lead is located. Charges only for results it returns.

Best for: Teams that want a managed waterfall

Pricing: Pro from $55/month for 1,000 credits, scaling past 100,000. Work email is 1 credit. 50 free credits to start.

Other email finders worth knowing

Single-source finders, databases, and APIs. Each is a reasonable provider to put inside a waterfall, and a few are fine on their own for small volumes.

Prospeo

B2B search plus email and mobile enrichment through a web app, Chrome extension, and API. A people export costs nothing if no email comes back.

Best for: Affordable finds with search built in

Pricing: Free plan with 100 credits a month; Starter $49/month (2,000 credits); Growth $99/month (5,000); Pro $249/month (15,000). 25% off billed yearly. 1 credit per verified email.

Work email finder with verification built in and a bounce guarantee: if bounces go above 5%, they refund credits. Only verified results are charged.

Best for: Cold email teams who care most about bounces

Pricing: Starter $99/month for 5,000 finder credits plus 5,000 verifier credits; annual billing gives two months free. 10 free credits.

Hunter

Long-running email finder and domain search with a verifier and simple sequences. Clean UI, good for one-off lookups and small lists.

Best for: Simple lookups and domain searches

Pricing: Free plan with 50 credits a month; Starter $49/month (2,000 credits); Growth $149/month (10,000); Scale $299/month (25,000). About 30% off billed yearly.

Best for: Predictable cost for builders at high volume

Pricing: Start $99/month; Scale $499/month; Build Your Infra from $999/month. Plans differ by rate limit and fair-use volume. 1,000 free credits.

Email finder, verifier, and cold email sequencer in one tool. Handy if you want finding and sending in the same place at small scale.

Best for: Small teams that want finder plus sender

Pricing: Free trial plan with 50 credits a month; Starter $39/month (1,000 credits); Pro S $99/month (5,000); higher tiers to $738/month.

Apollo

All-in-one database, sequencer, and dialer. Its emails are a fine first pass, but coverage is one provider's coverage.

Best for: Small teams who want data and sending in one seat

Pricing: Free plan with 1,200 credits a year; Basic $49, Professional $79, Organization $119 per seat per month, billed annually. 1 credit per email.

Wiza

Pulls emails and phones from LinkedIn and Sales Navigator searches, with verification. Easy for reps who live in Sales Navigator.

Best for: Sales Navigator list exports

Pricing: Free plan with 20 valid emails; Starter $49/user/month (100 emails); Email $99/user/month (500 emails); extra emails $0.15 each. Team plans custom.

Prices are from each vendor's site as of October 2026 and change often, so check before you buy. This is an opinionated list, not a paid ranking. Some links are referral links that may earn us a credit; that never changes what you pay or who makes the list.

How email finders work

Most finders do three things in order. They work out the company's address pattern (first.last@, flast@, and so on), check candidate addresses against the company's mail server, and fall back to their own database of addresses seen elsewhere. The tools that publish good accuracy numbers are usually the ones that refuse to return an address they can't confirm.

The catch is catch-all domains. A catch-all server accepts mail for any address, so the server check can't tell a real inbox from a made-up one. A finder that returns a catch-all address is giving you its best guess. Treat those separately and run them through a catch-all verifier (see email verification tools).

How to choose an email finder

Test on your own list. Take 200 contacts that look like your ICP, run them through two or three tools, then verify everything that comes back. Compare found rate and valid rate, and the cost per valid email, because that's the number that matters.

  • Billing on misses. LeadMagic, Prospeo, Findymail, and the waterfalls only charge for results. Avoid tools that charge per attempt.
  • Your market. US tech coverage is good everywhere. European, APAC, and non-tech coverage varies a lot by provider.
  • How you'll call it. If you build in code, pick tools with a clean API. If reps prospect by hand, a Chrome extension matters more.
  • Volume. Under a few thousand a month, a credit plan is fine. Past that, flat-rate APIs or a waterfall with cheap providers first usually wins.

How OneGTM runs email finding

I start with the cheapest provider that does well for the client's market, then fall through to others only on misses. Deepline handles the routing, so adding or reordering a provider is a config change. Everything that comes back gets verified, and catch-all results get a second pass before anything reaches the sequencer.

The order changes by market. A US SaaS list and a European manufacturing list end up with different providers at the top.

When it makes sense to get help

Signing up for a finder is easy. Getting a high valid rate at a sane cost per email takes testing, a provider order that fits your market, and verification wired in before the send.

  • Fewer than 60% of your target contacts come back with a valid email.
  • Bounce rates on cold email are above 2%.
  • You're paying for three finders and nobody knows which one is earning its keep.
  • Catch-all addresses are either all getting sent or all getting thrown away.

Email finder tools FAQ

What is the best email finder tool?
It depends on your market, so test a few on your own list. For most B2B teams a waterfall that runs several finders in sequence beats any single tool. OneGTM runs Deepline across providers including LeadMagic and AI Ark. If you want one simple tool, Prospeo, Findymail, and Hunter are solid starting points.
How accurate are email finders?
Vendors claim 95% or higher, but that usually counts only the emails they return, not the ones they miss. A single finder still misses a real share of most B2B lists, and a waterfall closes much of that gap. Measure found rate and valid rate on your own data.
Do I still need to verify emails from a finder?
Yes. Most finders verify as they go, but results age and catch-all addresses are guesses. Run everything through a verifier before it goes into a sequencer, and handle catch-all results with a catch-all specialist.
What is a waterfall email finder?
A waterfall sends each lookup to one provider, and only if it misses, on to the next. You get the combined coverage of several providers while paying for extra lookups only on the contacts the first one missed. Deepline, FullEnrich, and BetterContact all work this way.
Are email finders legal to use?
Finding a published or inferable business email is generally legal, but how you use it is regulated. In the US, CAN-SPAM covers commercial email. In the EU and UK, GDPR and PECR require a lawful basis and an easy opt-out, and some countries are stricter. Check the rules where your recipients are.
How much do email finders cost?
Self-serve plans start around $15 to $50 a month for 1,000 to 2,000 finds. Higher-volume plans run $100 to $500 a month, and flat-rate APIs and enterprise contracts go above that. Prices on this page come from each vendor's site as of October 2026.
