# HubSpot vs Pipedrive (2026): which CRM fits your sales team?

Pick Pipedrive if you are a small, sales-led team that wants a clean deal pipeline at the lowest seat price; pick HubSpot if marketing and sales need to share one database, or you expect to grow into lead scoring, attribution and a marketing team on the same records. Pipedrive is cheaper per seat at almost every tier, while HubSpot is broader.

Disclosure: I build HubSpot for most clients and run my own pipeline on Attio. I do not build on Pipedrive for clients, so my view of it comes from its pricing page, help center and the teams I talk to. Prices below were checked on each vendor's site on November 1, 2026.

## HubSpot vs Pipedrive pricing compared

For a five-person sales team, Pipedrive Growth costs $120 a month billed annually ($170 monthly), against $100 a month for HubSpot Starter at the $20 list price. Those are close, and HubSpot Starter already includes workflows and sequences. The gap opens one tier up: ten seats of Pipedrive Premium are $490 a month annually, while ten seats of HubSpot Professional run $900 to $1,000 a month plus the $1,500 onboarding fee.

Pipedrive's real costs sit in add-ons. LeadBooster starts at $32.50, Smart Docs at $32.50, Web Visitors at $41, Projects at $16 and Campaigns at $13.33, though Premium bundles LeadBooster and Smart Docs. HubSpot's cost jumps come from tier upgrades to unlock a feature and, if you add Marketing Hub, from contact-based pricing.

- Free: HubSpot Free CRM for up to 2 users; Pipedrive has no free plan, only a 14-day trial.
- Entry: Pipedrive Lite $14/seat/month annual ($19 monthly) with no automations; HubSpot Starter $20/seat/month list with workflows and sequences.
- Core sales tier: Pipedrive Growth $24 annual ($34 monthly) adds email sync, automations, sequences and forecasts.
- Mid: Pipedrive Premium $49 annual ($64 monthly) with LeadBooster and custom scoring; HubSpot Professional $90 to $100/seat/month plus $1,500 onboarding.
- Top: Pipedrive Ultimate $69 annual ($89 monthly) with sandbox and phone and email enrichment; HubSpot Enterprise from $150/seat/month plus $3,500 onboarding.

## Features compared

Both do the basics well: pipelines, email sync, activity tracking and reporting. Pipedrive is narrower and faster to learn, built for reps who want to move deals. HubSpot is broader, built for a company that wants sales, marketing and service on one set of records.

- Pipeline UX: Pipedrive's visual deal board is its core strength and reps adopt it quickly; HubSpot's pipelines are solid but sit inside a bigger, busier product.
- Automation: HubSpot Starter includes up to 50 workflows; Pipedrive needs Growth for any automation, and Premium raises active automations to 150.
- Sequences: both include sequences on their second paid tier or lower; Pipedrive Premium allows 25 sequences, HubSpot Starter allows 500 sends per user per day.
- Lead capture: Pipedrive Premium bundles LeadBooster (chatbot, live chat, prospector, web forms); HubSpot has forms and chat across its tiers.
- Enrichment: Pipedrive Premium adds company data enrichment and Ultimate adds phone and email enrichment; HubSpot offers enrichment features inside its platform.
- Marketing: HubSpot Marketing Hub shares the same database, which is its biggest advantage; Pipedrive offers email marketing through the Campaigns add-on.
- Limits: Pipedrive Ultimate caps custom fields at 500 and reports at 500 per user; HubSpot Enterprise allows up to 500 custom reports and 1,000 workflows.
- AI and meetings: Pipedrive lists Nova meeting intelligence and AI report creation from Lite; HubSpot ships AI features across hubs.

## Who should pick HubSpot

- Marketing and sales need one database for attribution, lead scoring and handoff.
- You want a free CRM to start with and room to grow into enterprise features later.
- You want workflows and sequences on the entry paid tier.
- You plan to add a marketing team or inbound motion in the next year.

## Who should pick Pipedrive

- You are a small, sales-led team and cost per seat is a priority.
- Reps live in a deal pipeline and you want fast adoption with little training.
- You want lead capture tools bundled at a mid-tier price ($49/seat/month annual on Premium).
- You do not need marketing automation on the same records.

## The verdict

Pipedrive wins on price and focus. If you have a handful of reps, a sales-led motion and no marketing team to feed, Growth at $24/seat/month billed annually gives you automations, sequences and forecasting for less than most alternatives.

HubSpot wins once marketing matters. Shared records between marketing and sales, a free tier to start on, and a clear path to Professional and Enterprise make it the better long-term platform for most B2B startups, as long as you budget for the onboarding fees.

I build HubSpot for most of my clients for exactly that reason. If neither feels right, Attio, which I use for my own pipeline, sits between them on flexibility.
